Remi Vernon is a 21 year old Asian American artist specializing in filmmaking, photography, and music production. Remi is being traditionally trained in cinema and media studies at the University of Washington while he implements his production skills in projects through his multimedia production company Tambia Productions. Growing up in California in an Asian household, Remi learned to play classical cello and piano from the age of 8 alongside his younger sister. Since music has always been a major aspect of Remi’s identity, and he is practicing filmmaking in university, he wishes to tell universal and emotionally compelling stories through a combination of music and visual media, specifically in the form of music videos, music documentaries, concert photography, album cover photography, and films centered around musicians. Remi focuses on the healing power of music and cinema, presenting them in ways that evoke a sense of renewed life. Remi is also interested in assessing similar themes through allegorical representations of reality that prompt introspective thought.
